Activities of the state committee to support the 2022 agricultural and livestock census continue

#EstadoDeMéxico.- In the framework of the First Ordinary Session of the Support Committee for the 2022 Agricultural Census, in the State of Mexico, progress was presented regarding the integration of regional and municipal offices, where the work of collecting and processing information will be developed.

To welcome the members of this Committee, Leticia Mejía García, Secretary of the Countryside of the State of Mexico and President of this Committee, highlighted the progress of the work carried out in these first 45 days, locating and adapting the regional and municipal offices.

Before Jorge Valdovino Espinoza, Central-South Regional Director of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Roberto Belmont Muñoz, Mexico East State Coordinator, and Jaime Hernandez Vergara, INEGI Mexico West State Coordinator, Mejia Garcia stressed the importance of this agricultural census, as it will contribute to update the data and statistics of the national countryside and, in particular, of the Mexican countryside.

It is worth mentioning that the data and statistics have been worked with for some years, more than 10 years, and this Census aims to generate updated information on the economic, technological, environmental and social characteristics of the Agricultural and Livestock Production Units, she added.
